General Questions
How does a Genius Referrals free trial work?
The free trial gives you full access to the plan you choose for 30 days. Please note that the number of advocates, programs, campaigns, languages, and currencies available will vary based on the plan selected.
What happens after my free trial?
Once your 30-day free trial ends, your first invoice will be generated, and your payment method on file will be automatically charged for the total amount specified. If you’ve added any extra features during the trial, their cost will also be included in your invoice.
Do I need to enter my credit card info to sign up?
Yes, your credit card is required. However, you will not be charged for the duration of your free trial. Once your 30-day free trial is over, your credit card will be charged automatically. If you cancel before the end of your free trial, there will be no charge to your account.
Do I get support at any time? What is your response time?
Genius Referrals provides support during weekdays in 3 languages: English, Spanish, and Portuguese. The response time depends on what kind of plan you are using (starter, silver, gold, or platinum). Billing
Can I change or cancel my subscription plan later?
Sure! You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. If you upgrade, you will be billed at a prorated amount for the difference in cost for the remainder of your then-current term. Please note that while you may downgrade or cancel your account at any time, no refunds will be issued for amounts you pre-pay, and changes will be reflected in your next billing cycle.

Genius Referrals issues invoices for all payments, and you can easily download them as a PDF. To locate your invoice, go to the Billing section and select the invoice you need.
What happens when I go over my advocate limit?
If you exceed your advocate limit, we will automatically upgrade you to the next plan at a prorated cost. You will receive email notifications when you reach 80%, 90%, and 100% of your advocate limit to ensure you know about the approaching upgrade.
What is an add-on, and how can I incorporate one into my plan?
An add-on is an optional tool you can purchase to enhance and customize your referral program beyond the features included in your plan. They're available for an additional monthly cost and can help you supercharge your program. All Genius Referrals plans allow for the purchase of additional features.
During your free trial, you can also purchase add-ons to try out. The cost of these features will be added to your invoice and charged to your account after the 30-day trial period.
Can I buy additional features (add-ons)?
Yes, our plans are customizable. You can buy extra features as you need them. For example, if you are enrolled in our Starter Plan and want to add a member's approval process, you can buy our "Member's Approval Process" feature without changing your current plan. Various additional features are available to enhance the product and cost extra money.
What's included with my Genius Referrals plan?
Genius Referrals offers four standard plans to choose from Starter, Silver, Gold, and Platinum plan. Please visit our Plans & Pricing webpage to learn more about what features are included in each plan.
Are gift cards and PayPal included in my plan?
Rewards such as gift cards, PayPal, Automated Payout Fulfillment are included with our Gold and Platinum plans. Our Starter customers can buy this feature as an add-on for $45/month.

Do I get charged for an add-on in my free trial?
Some add-ons may require payment during the free trial period, so it's important to check the details of each add-on before adding it to your plan.

What is a Referral?
A referral is a potential customer recommended to your business by a satisfied existing customer. Referrals are often more likely to convert into paying customers and tend to build stronger, long-term loyalty to your brand.
What is a Lead?
A lead is an individual who has organically discovered your referral landing page without being referred by an advocate. They show interest in your business, making them a valuable prospect with the potential to convert into a customer.
An advocate is typically an existing customer, influencer, affiliate, partner, or employee who is familiar with your business and actively promotes it. A referral, on the other hand, is someone—such as a friend or family member—referred to your company by an advocate, often as a potential new customer.
Your Advocate Limit is the number of Advocates your account can have registered across all programs. Each plan has a different limit.
